This is an exceptional gemstone. For its quality and craftsmanship, this is one of the finest Opal to ever come out of the shop. This material is from the famous Opal Butte mine in Oregon, which has produced some of the finest crystal opal in the world. This stone if beyond stunning in hand, it’s totally mesmerizing. The shear perfection of the cutting is astounding. The creation of this type of pattern and optical play is fantastic to see in person, the stone transitions so much and has excellent detail. The optical bubble in the center draws the eye, while the shape and details along the sides are reflecting light. The stone is colorless but has a beautiful blue overtone in certain lights and when backlit. The piece is over 22 carats in weight and is an excellent collector’s item, but would also make an amazing pendant if set. I really cannot say enough about this Opal, it is truly special! This stone was created by Allyce Kosnar of Kosnar Gem Co, during June 2019. Enjoy!
