This is a lovely Aquamarine! The stone is quite gemmy and inside are countless needles of acicular Rutile that are causing a faint 4 ray start effect. The chatoyant star rolls across the entire surface of the cabochon and is displayed beautifully. The eye itself is hardly noticed in normal light conditions, however, star stones look best with a single light source, commonly out in direct sunlight. The stone itself is fantasic aside from the star effect. It is a bright blue color that will be lovely in jewelry. The stone has a nice medium high dome that would look excellent set into a ring. There are many gems that display a star effects, but there are few Aquamarines like this, so it is quite a special gem! Enjoy!
