Here is a stunning Star Sapphire! This stone is an extremely deep blue color which appears black in the body with needles of bright Rutile oriented diagonally across the stone. The majority of the Rutile is nearly white and gives this stone a flashy appearance. These Rutile needles produce the star effect in the Sapphire. The star is not very sharp on this one, but in the sunlight the chatoyant roll is noticeable. This stone would be nice for a ring center stone, and especially for a man’s ring. This stone is quite pretty in hand and is lovely out in direct sunlight. Enjoy!
