Now here is a spectacular Aquamarine! This large and absolutely glistening gem is from an old stock of Brazilian material. The color is a pale blue, but you catch hints of a yellow overtone that is intriguing. The cut is Luna’s Glow by Arya Akhavan and is an impressive design. The cut requires much patience to arrange perfectly, particularly the crown which is a matrix of triangle facets. The stone just dances from every direction and is mesmerizing! The clarity is excellent and looks just water clear. The polish and light return of this stone is just breathtaking and will make a fantastic piece of jewelry, especially a cocktail ring! This stone is a real show stopper and an all-around impressive display of faceting skill. This gemstone was faceted by Allyce Kosnar of Kosnar Gem Co., during April 2018. Enjoy!
