Here is fun piece! This stone is a nice rose pink color which is a great background for this carving. The gem is flat on both sides and there is a flying saucer carved into the backside. This rose pink color is just so attractive and looks excellent in jewelry. The clarity of this stone is nearly perfect with one single Rutile crystal running through it. The stones display some multi-color flash around the perimeter. You can see the classic birefringence (facet doubling) that Zircon displays in the photos. Zircon has a bad rap because it is often confused by many as cubic zirconia. However, Zircon is a natural mineral and chemically is zirconium orthosilicate. This stone will make an excellent piece of jewelry, and could be the center stone for a ring. However, it could be set with a nice blue Moonstone cabochon in a drop style pendant that would be…out of this world!
