Here is a truly spectacular set of Garnets! These lovely Garnets from Mali have been quite popular the last 10 years, but are now a dwindling treasure. The deposits in Mali have dried up for the most part, and now it is difficult to find any of this material, which is a real shame. They were originally described as “Mali Garnets” because their chemistry was complicated, not being fully Grossular or Andradite. Then the trade name Grandite came about after the exact Chemistry could not be pinpointed without testing every single stone. These stones are just stunning! They are a bright yellow color with an overtone of green which is lively and irresistible. The have excellent light return and glitter beautifully when moved in the hand. This set has 27 stones, and was arranged for a one of a kind piece of jewelry. The set can be separated into many match sets as desired. It is also a fine collector’s set being nearly 6 carats total weight of this excellent Garnet variety. Enjoy!
