Arizona produces the majority of the world’s gem grade Peridot. Now Burma, China and Pakistan have been producing large quantities of Peridot in the last 20 years, but I just love US gems and this one is a staple. Well known as August’s birthstone, these beauties have some of the most consistent quality and color of any gemstone on the planet. The gorgeous color and excellent clarity make this stone highly desirable for both collecting and for jewelry. The stone glitter beautifully and has very nice light return because of the fine polish. The cut is a stunning radiant emerald shape that really showcases the material. This stone is nearly 1.5 carats which is an excellent size for Arizona material, especially with this kind of clarity.
