Here is a stunning, one of a kind Opal carving! The Opal itself is orange color, but the flash is bright green and transitions to a teal color when moved. The pattern of the flash is unique and we call it “Cell Fire” because when closely observed, it has an organic cellular appearance. Getting a piece of rough this large to carve is difficult because most of the rough is smaller, and large pieces usually are bought up for making cabochons. The custom carving is done by hand, and this piece is so stunning in person. We have made several pieces of jewelry with these Opals, mostly pendants, and they always come out spectacular. This piece was carved by Allyce Kosnar of Kosnar Gem Co. Enjoy!
