These beautiful Nigerian Spessartine were coming out steadily several years ago, but now seem to be a dwindling treasure. Due to political unrest with the Nigerian government, the exportation of gem material is being disrupted, and little of the rough material is available on today’s market. This stone has such a bright, mandarin orange color that is so attractive. The inclusions are noticeable, however this stone has a stunning appearance in the hand that is marred little by the inclusions. Just over 1 carat, this stone is an excellent candidate for a center stone in a ring. I really love this little gem; it is so eye catching and certainly should be in a piece of jewelry.
