This is a great US stone, and a dwindling treasure. Bisbee, Arizona is one of the most famous mining towns in the US that produced some of the finest Copper, as well as some Gold and Silver. The mines at Bisbee are also famous for their secondary Copper mineral specimens; such as Azurite, Malachite and Cuprite. As a matter of fact, there are over 350 mineral species found in and around the Town of Bisbee. Most of the mines have been close for 20 years or more, which is a shame because the minerals were fantastic. This stone was cut from a piece that was mined over 40 years ago. This material is difficult to replace because the mines are closed now. Don’t miss out on this US treasure! This stone was cabbed by Brett Kosnar of Kosnar Gem Co.
