Sri Lanka is the best locality for natural green Zircon in the world. This stone is naturally green, but has been heated to lighten the color. The stone has excellent clarity and glitters beautifully in sunlight. These green Zircons are prized by collectors and rarely seen on the market. The stone does display that classic strong birefringence, but does not exhibit much dispersion like most Zircon colors do. None the less, this stone is lovely, hard to find collector’s gem and will look unique in a piece of jewelry.
