Every color of Sapphire imaginable comes from Montana and has been producing Sapphire since the start of the 20th century and still does to this day. I absolutely love US gems and Montana Sapphires are at the top of the list. 99 percent of the rough produced from Montana is alluvial and obtained through placer mining. This gem is absolutely stunning in hand! It has a beautiful bicolor of mint green and denim blue that is fabulous. The stone has been fantasy cut to create this stunning star shape.
