Here is a fantastic Ametrine gem! The stone has been fantasy cut to create this stunning design. It’s mesmerizing in hand with detail and intriguing shape. The colors are light and the stone flashes beautifully in hand. Ametrine is a naturally occurring purple and yellow bi-color variety of Quartz that is formed by a unique twin law ("Brazil Law Twinning") where two separate individually colored crystals are intergrown to form an alternating "radiation" pattern of purple (Amethyst) and yellow (Citrine) triangles when viewed down the c axis. The two colors are oriented based upon their position inside the crystal to create the famous bicolor gemstones. This gem will make an stunning, one of a kind piece of jewelry! This stone was created by Allyce Kosnar of Kosnar Gem Co, in January 2023. Enjoy!
