Here is something fantastic! These assembled mosaic creations are called intarsias. They are very carefully assembled from small mitered cut offs of each material to design these intricate pieces. This stone features a Malachite on the outer layer, with a small Lapis, Howlite, Onyx and Turquoise frame around nice rectangle Opals with a Rhodochrosite slice core. This piece has a solid Malachite backing for stability. These pieces are all unique works of stone artistry. They are all one of a kind because of the unique patterns of the stones used.
